GORGEOUS

“Gorgeous Or Tonight I Left Home In A Thunderstorm, My Skin Is Wet And My Blood Is Warm” was born out of a desire to create a dialogue between my two modes of creative expression: music and fashion. Initially inspired by my album of the same name, my graduate collection draws on themes of connectedness to the natural world, beauty in the mundane, and how we develop emotional relationships to the objects in our lives, whether that’s a raggedy old t-shirt or your favourite mug for morning coffees. Subversion, refinement, longevity, and the pure expression of oneself are some of the ideas that guide my design work. My creative process focuses on designing and making garments that the wearer can develop a deep emotional connection with. Through a mix of subversive but timeless looks which can be worn in a million different ways, and bold statement pieces with dramatic silhouettes, my designs will make whoever is wearing them the centre of attention.
