The Lost Kiwi — Short Film Trailer

My design process follows a journey from feeling, to concept, to outcome. My project ‘The Lost Kiwi’ has been a solo adventure within my design studies. It has been the ultimate test of my skills, and a chance to learn new software, in particular Unreal Engine. My inspiration came from a hike in the West Coast which was spectacular, with stunning views and gave me a chance to reconnect with nature. But the harsh weather also made it a daunting experience. I wondered, how would animals like Kiwi even survive out there? I aimed high for this project, and now I am very happy with the outcome. To other students: If you enjoy making something you can be proud of, I highly recommend making a short film like this as your major project. And even though Unreal Engine is a powerful and free game software, it is suitable for film projects too!
