Second Skin

Second Skin explores anxiety as both a release and a relapse – a constant cycle of tension and calm. This collection reimagines anxiety in a positive light, showing that vulnerability and strength can coexist. Inspired by my own experiences and the work of designers who use emotion as material, I used fashion as a language to translate what anxiety feels like rather than how it’s clinically defined.

Through contrasting materials such as soft silks and structured corsetry, I represented both the suffocating and liberating sides of the anxious mind. The collection acts as a second skin – a visible expression of what’s usually hidden beneath the surface. My personal connection to anxiety shaped every decision, from fabric to form, as a way of releasing and reclaiming those emotions. I hope it encourages the audience to see anxiety not as weakness, but as part of a continual journey toward light and self-acceptance.
