In-House Studio Internship

Tena Koutou Katoa, Kō Jorja toku ingoa, Ko Ngati Ranginui me Ngai Te Rangi nga iwi, No Ōtautahi ahau. My taonga is my whanau, they have created a space where my creativity thrives. My values of whanaungatanga and empathy drive my design practice to create work with meaning, which sparks conversations around sustainability, culture, and social change.

The core of my In-House Studio Internship provided me with opportunities to work on meaningful projects that benefit our community, strengthening my learning around good planning and working in teams, as well as giving me the chance to connect with clients, understanding their goals and purposes

Working with Te Punaka Ōwheo and ‘Thursdays in Black’ gave me the chance to use design to make an impact, the first supported and celebrated Māori students and the other helped to disprove the notion that the clothes someone wears can cause or prevent sexual harm.
