Ozymandias

This collection considers the transience of power and the lasting effects of art. Ozymandias contemplates what fades and what endures. Though the tyrant’s empire has long been lost to the sands of time, the sculptor’s creation remains. Power and structure inevitably erode, while creativity and the emotion that is woven through it, withstand. This endurance sits at the core of this collection.

My work has always been guided by emotion rather than concept, shaped by environment and experience. Dunedin’s stillness has taught me introspection. To create from within, and to translate feeling into form. Ozymandias becomes both an ending and an echo. A reflection on transformation, and a reminder that although time erases all else, the art will endure.
