Between Germany and New Zealand, my creative identity as a designer was formed. Linking my fascination for costume design and collecting vintage pieces, bones and other keepsakes, I became consumed with capturing strong emotions through clothes, even if not all of them may be positive. While fashion can be functional, I often feel it loses the depth and storytelling found in costume design. Costumes reveal every facet of a character, not just the curated highlights we tend to showcase on social media.

In many ways, costume design feels more honest than today’s fashion industry. I want to challenge current fashion practices, by encouraging people not just to “be themselves,” but to deeply consider who they want to become. My goal is to create a supportive, close-knit community where individuals can explore identity beyond trends and expectations, where fashion becomes a tool for self-discovery rather than self-presentation.
