‘More Than Just a Fashion Show’ Branding

Building a connection with the community and helping those around me has always been a driving force in my design process. It was the goal to challenge an unfair industry standard that drew me to this project. More Than Just A Fashion Show started as a passion project in 2024. Local emerging designer Tegan Vickery created this brand to help promote her fellow designers and challenge the lack of size inclusivity in the fashion industry. Noticing how size-inclusive fashion was regressing, she saw an opportunity.

By collaborating with designers around Dunedin, Tegan created a size-inclusive fashion show that celebrated local emerging talent, providing a platform to elevate themselves. Vibrant colours were used to represent the celebration of talent, and a thread became a motif throughout the brand. It is a metaphor for support: an invisible force that is uplifting and embracing those around the show.
