True Creative Agency Internship

As a kid, I’d spend hours at my dad’s work, staring at walls plastered with fashion posters and tables stacked with surf and skate magazines.That early fascination with image and culture shaped my design philosophy, and gave me a curiosity to look closer, question the familiar, and uncover what sits beneath the surface. It was that same curiosity that took me back home to Auckland, where I joined True Creative Agency to test my skills at an industry level.

As soon as I met with the design team I realised our values aligned: First, be undeniably true. Then, be truly undeniable.This was the first thing I learnt during my internship at True — to strip everything back, peel away the surface, and find my own tilt. This book project reflects how I applied that ideology through my own lens, showing real-world client work
and the growth that led to a full-time Junior Designer role.
