Out of the Box Illustrations

Eating is my passion, and I can draw, so now I design. I focus on digital and mixed media illustrations. Having dyslexia gives me a certain creative advantage and means I am unrestricted by words, except when writing emails. Creative, visually focused storytelling is what drives my design work.

Out Of The Box is a project which shows the stories of twenty-five deaf and disabled New Zealanders. Ben and I have been drawing and colouring like madmen, creating many iterations of each person to capture their likeness and story. It has been very fun and fulfilling to see everything come together. I hope you enjoy Out Of The Box as much as I did, and I will be grabbing a book or two when it releases next year. Hopefully, I can keep doing projects like this, where I can tell stories, design, illustrate, and pay the bills for my passion.
