So I guess I’ve always had a variety of arbitrary abilities that I could never really see leading me to a successful or lucrative career. Design is the mechanism for combining those skills and streamlining them into a more ‘legitimate’ output. I love making things look good, whether or not that means I’ve totally missed the philosophical aspect of design is irrelevant.
Ultimately, everyone appreciates beauty. That’s why we have Photoshop. I think the most essential quality in life is the ability to make things of beauty and if your lifestyle allows this I think you’d be happy…or something.
