As a designer I am influenced and inspired by many things, this collection in particular by a fascination with deep-sea creatures. I like my clothing to reflect my inspiration—I love to imagine the outrageous and the obscure. As the great Manolo Blahnik said, “about half my designs are controlled fantasy, fifteen percent are total madness and the rest are bread-and-butter designs.”
My dream is to have a label of my own. I will design the madness and fantasy for exposure and to get “in Vogue,” but the wearable, functional designs of a high quality are what my label will be built around.
