Illeyah Draunidalo

Call it nostalgic, but I like the feeling that things have been around for a while… there’s a certain charm, romance and mystery about it that fascinates me. I am inspired by culture and the age old traditions surrounding one’s historical context. I also celebrate the delicate and bold patterns that can be found in nature and her wildlife; the possibilities of what they present to a space or how they explode onto fabric—it’s magic!
In the end, you hope that as a designer, you’ve done a project justice by complementing the roots of your inspirations.
