Universal design is an important element in my design concepts as I believe people of all abilities should be able to use a space independently with ease. Material culture is also essential when achieving the feeling of an interior environment, influencing people’s emotions in a positive way.
The present design renovation is for use by all students as a study hub or relaxation space. It has considered the requirements of special needs students that have additional support equipment. This design incorporates acoustic elements and specialised fittings that assist students with mental and physical disorders, promoting a calming, comforting environment.
