I believe in the importance of a lasting impression, whether that be the feeling received as you enter a room or the memory that stays with you after you depart. This is the essence of my own developing practice and encapsulates what I believe is essential in creating a meaningful space.
My sensitivity towards tradition and the respect I have for people and place has drawn me to sustainable practice regarding the restoration, reuse and refurbishment of space. My graduate project, Collective Thirty One, holds in itself these ideas and upholds values that are imperative to history, culture and spirituality in design.
These areas have created a basis of thinking which has helped me unravel what I believe gives design the emotion and humanity to allow it to reach past the superficiality of interior space.
