Fashion – Brazen Collection

I studied fashion design at Otago Polytechnic because I am interested in people. Fashion at its core is communication. An interface between the wearer and the viewer that broadcasts information. This information can be true or false, intended or accidental, explicit or implied.

I believe that fashion is the art of the everyman, a design decision made each day. Individually it is an act of self-expression and taken en masse can be an ongoing comment on the human condition.

My graduate collection is inspired by the co-existence of humour and horror in portrayals of New Zealand life.

A look from the Brazen collection.
