Clothed Connections
Clothed Connections is an honours level design project addressing fashion systems through considering a relational fashion system approach to the wearers experience of fashion. This work explores the sometimes sacred and often times mundane relationship developed between the wearer and their garment, illuminating insight to the research question, Can a designed collection facilitate lasting emotional connection between the wearer and designed outcome?
The relationships developed between ourselves, our garments, the community around us and the land is inherent to my design philosophy. This gives rise to the values of empathy, analysis, reflection and intuition that underpin my design process.
