When exploring design, I not only look forward but also backward with a keen eye for past design and an appreciation for skilled workmanship. I see these as values to incorporate and take forward using modern processes and methods. These values promote authenticity, understanding, and symbolism, which can help advance a vision beyond an object. From these values, there is an underlying responsibility to develop and refine a quality approach within my own mind, which then becomes pivotal to communicating that to others.
